RAAF supports White Ribbon Night with C-17 flyover
Luckily for Brisbane, we are close to the home of the nation’s C-17 fleet – RAAF Amberley. As such, we’re often treated to flyovers for new arrivals & other public relations.
Today was no different, with the Royal Australian Air Force flying a specially painted C-17A Globemaster over Byron Bay, the Gold Coast and back to Brisbane. The C-17 (A41-206) has a specially painted logo of White Ribbon Australia, which supports ending domestic violence against women.
The C-17 was accompanied by a PC-9 photo chase aircraft, wearing the non-Roulette grey colour scheme. Looking at the social networks – it’s certainly generated quite a lot of interest. Team TSW was there to capture the moment.
