RAAF Super Hornets practice for Brisbane’s annual Riverfire

A popular pastime for Brisbane office workers during September is watching the Australian Defence Force’s practice for Riverfire. This year was no different with many lining the banks of the Brisbane River and the cliffs of Kangaroo Point.

This year it was Super Hornet A44-218 using the callsign Ramrod One-One. Interestingly, the practice was delayed to allow for a medivac chopper to land at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.

Approximately half an hour later, we were all surprised by Hornet number 2 – A44-222.

Team TSW was perched in our regular spot – here’s a quick sneak peak of what we captured!
